Pharmacological Effects

Diclazuril is a triazine anti-coccidial drug that primarily inhibits the proliferation of sporozoites and schizonts. Its peak activity against coccidia occurs during the sporozoite and first schizont stage (i.e., the first 2 days of the coccidia lifecycle). It has a coccidicidal effect and is effective against all stages of coccidia development. It has good effects against Eimeria tenella, Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria brunetti, and Eimeria maxima in chickens, as well as coccidia in ducks and rabbits. After mixing diclazuril with chicken feed, a small amount is absorbed by the digestive tract. However, due to the small dosage, the total amount absorbed is minimal, resulting in low drug residues in tissues. When administered at a dosage of 1mg/kg mixed with feed, the average residual amount in chicken tissues measured on the 7th day after the last administration was below 0.063mg/kg. Diclazuril premix has low toxicity and is safe for livestock and poultry. Long-term use of this product can easily induce drug resistance, so it should be used intermittently or for a short duration. The effect of this product is short-lived, and its action basically disappears after 2 days of discontinuation.

Based on this product. Mixed feeding: 200g per 1000kg of feed for poultry and rabbits.
